The trouble is that those countries that you have pointed to are mostly governed by the Left (recently) and yes, I agree that they have talked about all of those things that you mentioned.

However if we look at the numbers of immigrants/asylum seekers who have been resettled over the last 4 odd years it has exploded.
It’s the public backlash to these huge increases in new citizens that is driving the chatter you have highlighted.

It has become one of the biggest threats to the Lefty governments and one of the biggest assets to the Righty opposition party’s.

As for the middle east conflict (which particular one?), correct me if I’m wrong but haven’t those same Left governments been supplying weapons, ammunition and cash to one or both sides (if we’re talking Gaza).

War is big business and the elites are getting plebs like you and me to pay for it.
