** A Thai celebrity media tycoon and transgender rights advocate has bought the Miss Universe Organization for $20 million, marking the first time the beauty pageant organiser will be owned by a woman, her company said.
** Britain's competition watchdog said it had cleared London Stock Exchange Group's LSEG.L (LSEG) takeover of Quantile Group after an in-depth investigation.
** The founding family of Italian luxury shoemaker Tod's TOD.MI said it would not proceed with a planned buyout of the company after failing to reach the 90% ownership threshold needed to take it private.
** The preferred bidder to buy out Toshiba Corp 6502.T , a group led by private equity firm Japan Industrial Partners (JIP), is likely to miss the deadline to secure bank loans for the deal, the Kyodo news agency reported.
** Australia's ELMO Software (ELO) said it has agreed to a near-A$500 million ($319 million) takeover from Los Angeles-based K1 Investment Management.
** European Lithium Ltd (EUR) said it would merge with blank-check company Sizzle Acquisition Corp SZZL.O to launch a lithium exploration firm and also sell its stake in the Wolfsberg lithium project.
** Canada on Tuesday imposed conditions on Rogers Communications' RCIb.TO proposed remedy to overcome competition bureau concerns about Rogers' planned C$20 billion ($14.7 billion) purchase of rival Shaw Communications SJRb.TO .
** Canadian Industry Minister François-Philippe Champagne said on Tuesday that the Canada government has rejected the wholesale transfer of the Spectrum license from Shaw Communications to Rogers Communications.
