Its interesting that in all the discussions in the media about coal fired power stations being built etc, there is never a mention from the pollies about gas fired power stations to supply base load power.
As i understand it its about 60% less emmissions and cheaper to build gas fired plants.
Why the hell doesnt the government use gas.
I know there are already shortages, but more developement encouraged and assistance from governments to get it happening. its got to be better than coal craters everywhere, surely.
The hunter valley is a waste land. coal central.
Anyhow just my rant.
