IT services company Empired Limited (ASX:EPD) says it has been selected as a project delivery partner for a game changing system design project with a major resources company.
Empired says it is the preferred partner for what may ultimately be a $50 million program of work, involving the design, development and implementation of core business systems.
Managing Director Russell Baskerville says the 3 year program will launch the company into a new league in large operational systems development, substantially enhancing its credibility in delivery of large operational mining systems.
The contract will ramp up immediately, subject to ongoing approvals, providing what Mr Baskerville says will be an exceptional growth platform for the current financial year.
Empired posted a net profit of $1.55 million in the 2013 financial year.
