I think RIO have JV’d because unconformity related uranium deposits have received an exploration boost after what has been recently found associated with the Athabasca sandstone in Canada, the Triple R deposit found by fission uranium is a standout. These Canadian deposits have very similar geology to NT deposits,. On top of this, some of these deposits in Australia, like those in the Alligator River such as Coronation Hill have ecomomic Au/PGE mineralization as well. Given the Knowledge Rio must have from its ERA experience, I think this JV is HOT!
