Equity Trustees Limited (ASX:EQT) has received Ministerial approval to acquire ANZ Trustees Limited.
The financial services company announced the $150 million purchase earlier in the year and with the approval of the Assistant Treasurer Mathias Cormann the purchase is now unconditional.
The integration process of staff and clients is progressing and the company is aiming for a completion date of 4 July.
Equity Trustees reported a net profit of $5.4 million in the first half of the 2014 financial year.
