News: Europe Distillates-Diesel climbs further on refinery outages

LONDON, June 26 (Reuters) - Northwest European diesel barge refining margins by about 50 cents to $20.88 a barrel as refinery outages in the Netherlands and Turkey supported.

• Four barges of diesel traded in the afternoon window, down from six in the previous session, with Shell selling to BP and Gunvor.

• Differentials in the Mediterranean continue to be supported by an outage on a diesel-making hydrocracker at Socar's 214,000 bpd STAR refinery in Turkey, a trading source said.

• The hydrocracker, which was taken offline in early June, is expected to resume operations in early July, a second trading source said.

• In northwest Europe, Shell SHEL.L closed a 56,300 bpd hydrocracking unit at its Pernis oil refinery on June 18.

• U.S. distillate stockpiles USOILD=ECI , which include diesel and heating oil, fell by 377,000 barrels last week to 121.3 million barrels, Energy Information Administration data showed. Distillate product supplied declined by 441,000 bpd week-over-week to 3.54 bpd.

• Nigeria's Dangote Refinery is operating normally after a fire at its effluent treatment plant, it said on Wednesday, after videos circulated online of dark plumes of smoke at the 650,000 bpd facility.

• Meanwhile, diesel and gasoil arrivals in the UK and EU are expected to reach 950,000 barrels per day so far in June, Kpler data showed, down from 1.24 million bpd in May.

• Egypt, which is facing power outages amid an energy supply crunch, plans to import 300,000 metric tons of fuel oil, the country's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said on Tuesday.
