News: Europe Distillates-Diesel margins decline amid weaker demand

LONDON, April 9 (Reuters) - Northwest European diesel barge dropped to $23.15 a barrel on Tuesday amid ample supplies in the region and slower buying interest.

• About 10,800 metric tons of diesel barges traded on Tuesday, compared with 24,000 tons in the previous session.
• Oil prices will trade in a range of $80-$100 per barrel and global oil demand will grow by 1.9 million barrels per day in 2024, Russell Hardy, chief executive of the world's largest energy trader Vitol, told in a conference on Tuesday.
• European diesel and gasoil imports reached 960,000 barrels per day (bpd) in March, Kpler data showed, up from 820,000 in February. April imports are on track to reach 670,000 bpd.
• Gasoil stocks held in independent storage in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) refining and storage hub rose slightly during the week of April 4 to their highest since June 2023, according to data from Dutch consultancy Insights Global.
• U.S. oil refiners are expected to have about 932,000 bpd of capacity offline for the week ending April 12, increasing available refining capacity by 348,000 bpd, research company IIR Energy said on Monday.
• Diesel exports from Russia's key Baltic loading terminal Primorsk are set to fall by 16.4% on the month to 1.4 million metric tons in April, two sources said.
