LONDON, March 19 (Reuters) - Northwest European gasoline refining margins gained a marginal 35 cents to around $16.27 a barrel on Tuesday.
- A total of 6,000 metric tons of Eurobob E10 barges were traded, unchanged on the day.
- Around 7,000 metric tons of Eurobob E5 were traded, up from 5,000 tons on Monday.
- Traders said European refinery maintenance shutdowns this month and next are helping keep product margins supported.
- "With little to no arbitrage outlets viable out of Europe at the moment, the outlook for the European gasoline market as we move onto into the second quarter rests solely on the intensity of the turnarounds ahead," Sparta Commodities' Philip Jones-Lux said.
- China's exports of gasoline fell nearly a third in the first two months of 2024 versus year-earlier levels, customs data showed on Monday, as domestic transport demand surged over the holiday travel period.
- U.S. gasoline inventories were expected to have fallen by 1.4 million barrels in the week to March 15, according to a Reuters poll ahead of the release of weekly data from the American Petroleum Institute at 2030 GMT on Tuesday, and the Energy Information Administration on Wednesday.
