LONDON, July 31 (Reuters) - Northwest European gasoline refining margins rose by about $1.43 a barrel on Wednesday to $15.68 a barrel on a larger than expected stockdraw in the U.S., even despite sharp gains in crude markets.
- Liquidity picked up slightly on Wednesday after no E5 or E10 barges traded on Tuesday.
- A total of 9,000 metric tons of Eurobob E5 barges traded in the Argus window, with Petroineos, Glencore and Shell selling to ExxonMobil, BP, Mabanaft and BMV Mineraloel.
- A single 2,000 ton barge of Eurobob E10 traded in the Argus window, which ExxonMobil sold to TotalEnergies.
- U.S. gasoline stocks USOILG=ECI fell by 3.7 million barrels in the week to 223.8 million barrels, according to the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
- The draw was more than thrice analysts expectations for a 1 million-barrel draw, according to a Reuters poll.
- The Russian government has decided to ban gasoline exports in September and October 2024, Russian Deputy Energy Minister Pavel Sorokin said on Wednesday, the state-run news agency TASS reported.
EU and UK gasoline and gasoline component exports have reached about 1.21 million barrels per day so far this month, up from 1.11 million bpd in June, according to Kpler data.
