Would not be buying bonds currently, where market interest rates are going through the roof, as Central bankers are in a thoroughly hawkish mode. However, major investors and major instos and such may park large investments as a safe haven, despite prospects of short-term capital deprecation? Globalisation of financial markets ie where large trades across international boundaries may be executed with the click of a computer mouse, detracts from the gold allure.
