I agree you need luck, but this was a prime site. The old FAR guys knew it, as did Flow. After the prior oil market meltdown, old Shell Africa guys scoped out highly promising blocks available for a song, and so selected the SNE block.
It was always a good shot, but in wildcat country, you still need luck... and good management
