If they can set up monitoring that doesn't impinge on privacy too heavily (i.e. flagging messages that uses certain phrases and point of origin) then personally I would be glad if it prevents terrorist attacks.

No parent should have to bury their child, especially not because of some extremist nutjob that we left on the streets because the bleeding heart Left Wingers cried about "discrimination" or "racial profiling" (not suggesting you are a Bleeding Heart Lefty!).

And your point about "most are lonely losers", that is exactly NOT what the latest round of attacks in the UK suggests...
