You seem to be under the perception that the charts tell the complete picture of how all investors returns look. Sorry but they don't. Have you ever considered investing on the basis of RISK VERSUS REWARDS. Most of the smart investors take this into account as the SP fluctuates and hence they take some profits when the SP is high and reload when the risk is reduced at a lower price , some may even reinvest there profit .
Some like your self can make real money even with a dog stock . I however like to invest in companies that are obviously having a go.
