A reminder to some of the rusted-ons here on HC who are still in denial like Rudd, Gillard and most of the ALP [Champion and Marles honourable exceptions]
The facts are:
. Labor never, ever got a mandate to introduce a tax on carbon dioxide [despite recent attempts to re-invent history]
. on the contrary Gillard campaigned never to introduce such a tax.
. Abbott has a sweeping mandate to repeal this useless impost

Labor should swallow their collective pride, get out of the way and allow real reform to proceed. Not to do so will have several consequences for Labor.
. voters won't appreciate being treated with contempt by the ALP and will vent that at any by-election . they will continue being associated with the Greens . if they get in the trenches now only to have a new Senate wave through the repeal next year, they will look like absolute village idiots!
