Fletcher Building Limited (ASX:FBU) says it has entered into a conditional agreement to sell its electrical products distribution business Corys Electrical, which it bought last year as part of the acquisition of the Crane Group.

The building products manufacturer has agreed to sell the business to French based Sonepar.

The completion of the sale will generate about $90 million which also includes the sale of two of Crane’s metals businesses.

The transaction is expected to take four months to complete.

Fletcher Building reported a net profit of $151.1 million in the 2012 financial year.
