There are a number of algo's that trade with different parameters. The most common is the scalping bot, that buys and sells varying quantities depending on the volume of the market. They're in there to force ppl to pay up/sell down, and they scalp %'s of a cent.
You can program the bot to do whatever you want - it's a percentage game.
And yes, I've been in the mkt since 1986, and a solo trader since 2005. But you can never conquer the markets....just when a trading strategy starts working well, the mkt will change, and you will need to change with it.
