Thanks Acees - very useful presentation! (Don't they have to release such investor presentations to the ASX?)
My thoughts:
1. If Albany is the only site that gives 100% of waves > 1 m then surely - all else being equal - that will be the first demonstration site on the basis that you may as well give yourself the best possible chance of success. (Agree with you there Acees.)
2. I am 100% certain that if CNM receives REDP funding it will be a contractual requirement that the demonstration plant is to be built in Australia.
3. But, let's postulate that the Scottish govt or someone else (hypothetically) says to CNM, we want the first demo site and we want it now and here's X million quid, how would this constitute losing "this home grown innovation"? I understand that the state and/or federal govts here may be interested in the kudos of having the first site here but one of things that excites me even more about CNM and CETO is the opportunity to go truly global. This is the main prize as far as I am concerned. Bring on the first demo site and if it is in Aus that's brilliant.
4. There is a global map in the presentation that shows "current CETO sites" around the world. Does anyone know what they are? Are they simply agreements or wave exploration licences? Does REH have a presence at these sites? Are there possibly CETO buoys at some of these sites? I'm confused about what these "sites" really represent.
5. $600 per MWh in Scotland? I'd be over there quicker than a rat up a drainpipe!
6. Very interesting to see the power cost comparison. I had no idea what MRET meant so I looked it up... "Mandatory Renewable Energy Target".
7. Couldn't they have a picture at the end of Ceto fighting the Anaconda? LOL!
