News: FLT Deals of the day-Mergers and acquisitions

Jan 31 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1400 GMT on Tuesday:

** U.S. hedge fund Davidson Kempner said that investment funds it advises have acquired a non-performing loans portfolio from Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank ADCB.AD worth 4.2 billion dirhams ($1.14 billion).

** Britain's competition watchdog said it was seeking comment on whether Richemont's CFR.S deal to offload most of its online fashion retailer YOOX Net-A-Porter (YNAP) to Farfetch FTCH.N could harm competition in the UK.

** Chinese electric vehicle (EV) giant BYD Co 1211.HK said it is working on a potential acquisition of Yi'an P&C Insurance Co, an insurer that was seized by Chinese regulators two years ago as part of a crackdown on financial conglomerates.

** FTI Consulting said they had started the sale process for the collapsed Australia-Asia PowerLink (AAPL) project developer Sun Cable and were seeking binding proposals by the end of April this year.

** CNOOC Ltd 0883.HK , China's top offshore oil and gas producer, has halted a planned sale of its UK North Sea portfolio, which could have been valued at as much as $3 billion, Bloomberg News reported on Monday.

** Australia's Flight Centre Travel Group Ltd (FLT) is raising A$180 million ($126.94 million) in one of the country's first major capital raisings of 2023 to buy British travel business Scott Dunn for A$211 million.
