Yes they were nomadic, but they had territories they stuck to. This is why there are different communities that are referenced to different geographical regions across Australia. This is an historical fact which has been proven. Meaning they generally followed the same route and regularly returned to these places - for 10’s of thousands of years..
Also try keep in mind that these sites are not just important to Indigenous Australians. It’s important to a great deal of non indigenous Australians too!
