As for your concern re the capital value , I couldn't give a s#@t whether my holdings are valued ar $2 million or $4 million. That's not my motivation for investing in Fortescue.
Priceless.
Investing on the basis of not caring about the value of one's investment is a most peculiar approach. In that sense, you are right when you say we couldn't think more differently, because I - along with the overwhelming majority of people who own shares - do, in fact, give consideration to the value of our investment capital.
So tell all; what is your motivation for investing in Fortescue if you are ambivalent to its investment attributes from capital preservation point of view?
"As for our dividends being reduced to finance capital expenditure to decarbonise our IO production, I welcome it."
So no more trotting out of the spurious "FMG is on a 10% DY" line, then?
