The oil industry started the more gender balanced employment decades ago and proved success so far. It is no doubt that there will be certain job/careers that certain people don't want to do. The oil industry is one of them, especially for people working 12 hours shift for weeks on oil rigs or remote oil fields. However, the oil industry does go into setting a target of certain percentage of genders. A group of same gender will behave similarly at home, school, nice city office or at a hard labour demand work like on a mine. We can only blame our human nature, not individual behavior. If we think it's not acceptable, the only way to change it is to purposely balance it.
