Such a lot of fuss over what is, essentially, a non-event. The media make these executive positions - CFO, etc - out to be highly skilled, inordinately stressful jobs, filled by brilliant, extremely talented demi-gods....
The reality is quite different - just ordinary humans, doing basic, technical accountancy and financial maneuverings in luxurious, pampered surrounds. Lots of staff to assist and do the actual work, large pay packets and stock options and travel and all the other goodies on the gravy train...
They come, they go... think about it for a moment, how hard can it be..? the company digs up dirt, sorts and grades it, transports and ships it to paying customers. The price received is controlled by the market, as is the currency. The company can only really control costs and aim for scale.... counting the cash doesn't really need great talent nor does it require executive brilliance...
