My understanding is that the wording has not changed from the original proposal by John Weinerhall and Victor Warnick to the Riksdag.‘The Minerals Act should therefore return to its original wording regarding uranium that applied before the change on August 1, 2018, so that uranium mining becomes possible again in Sweden.’
If this proposal to revert back to the original wording is passed, there is still an outstanding issue - the Berg Municipal could veto the Haggan mine. Municipals currently have uranium mining veto power, the Riksdag would have to vote to remove this veto power.
The government is currently talking to both Finland And France about building 2 new nuclear power stations. Also a consortium of Swedish Industry and Business are talking to a private nuclear power company about building a new nuclear power station to be operational in 2035.
Patience…
