Our mate Bolt seems to be full of optimism and good luck to him I say. I seem to remember a discussion we had more than a year ago when you and Bolt were saying how well things were going in Afghanistan. Seems not to have been the case doen't it what with all the problems that continue to manifest there to the extent that the troops are having to go back in. Perhaps the Russians weren't so stupid after all....
My point, in case you miss it, is that all this optimism could be somewhat misplaced and indeed that the approach of the coalition is doomed to failure. Why should we have any confidence given the failures of the past?
