GBM Gold (ASX:GBM) has recommenced operations after completing the upgrade of the Inglewood gold processing plant in Victoria.
The plant has an annual capacity of 105,000 tonnes per annum and is capable of processing competent underground ore and lower grade open pit ore.
All gold recovered is extracted by gravity and cyanide leaching.
A total of 1,400 tonnes of ore have been processed through the plant during commissioning while another 10,000 tonnes of ore are located in stockpiles ready to be processed.
Inglewood ore has a high percentage of gold that can be recovered using gravity methods.
The addition of the ball mill and cone crusher are expected to significantly improve the recovery of gravity gold.
