i know io will go down .. and ago may not earn as much as expected if io prices fall .. thats ok.
trading long and short in commodities is good business practice for the PRODUCERS and Users = hedging.
but whats not ok with me is the ability to drive a Coy Share Price down with the EXTRA (Borrowed) Selling that shorting creates, while LT holders bite their nails fretting over triggered margin calls etc .
the coy news and prospects may determine sentiment toward the sp from existing or potential shareholders..but its not fair that an outside party (shorters) can stand as judge and executioner on a stock they don't own decimating its sp for their own (OUTSIDER) Gains.
loyal shareholders are punished..by short term exploitation of unrestricted market trading rules on all ASSETS not just shares .
can you imagine if i could short your home and devalue it for you.. . for my own profit..just because someone set up a housing futures exchange ?
