June 25 (Reuters) - Germany's Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock on Tuesday welcomed news that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange would be freed and allowed to return home to Australia after agreeing a deal to plead guilty to violating U.S. espionage law.
"I can only say that I am very happy that this case, which was discussed very emotionally all over the world and moved many people, has finally found a solution," she said during a visit to Jerusalem.
