    Interesting argument: Mining but not extracting the Uranium ?
    Problem is that in extracting the Rare Earths you can not avoid collecting the Uranium, and in so doing change its chemical associations.
    What you need to do is then: precipitate it, stabilise it and encapsulate it.

    A bit like the Inuit hunting baby Fur seals, they only want the Fur, the mother seal can keep the carcass !
