Insurance Australia Group Limited (ASX:IAG) says it has received about 11,000 storm claims for damage caused by the violent storms in Brisbane last Thursday.The insurance company says it is too early to estimate the potential financial impact of the storms which have been described as the worst to impact the city in three decades.IAG is setting up specialist hail repair sites after advising about 9,000 of the claims taken so far relate to motor vehicle damage caused by hail.The news comes after fellow insurer Suncorp Group Limited (ASX:SUN) advised last week it had taken about 1,600 motor claims and 1,000 home claims following the storms.Insurance Australia Group reported a net profit of $1.3 billion in the 2014 financial year.
