- you find there been many times they have been in this situation. Do they honestly think a small 5 M market cap stock would go after a 400 b company. Clearly they didn't believe so.

they have over 2000 patents JP Morgan themselves. They got a crypto wallet one last year.

I don't believe id8 ever had the scope to launch this themselves, and frankly they have had 0 ability to scale the business to date, and when they have won deals they haven't negotiated in the best interest of SH ( MasterCard)

So in some ways this is not necessarily a bad outcome if proven the infringement . An upfront payment is valuable 40-50 M USD after litigation backers paid but if the lawyers understand the scope of the billions/trillions put through the ecosystem then the real winner would be the ongoing royalties. It's too hard to speculate the actual potential royalty but you can only imagine it could be $$.

For a company who blown millions of LT SH value they somehow still have an opportunity. Alot of companies don't get so many chances.....
