imao yes they could have a luxury to see the announcement of cap raising with a real possibility of institutional holders shorting it in advance to participate.
they took advantage of normal low volumes with high volume trading today and I will not be surprised you will see this happening the other way after taking weak holders..
In a way you acquired $1.5b billion business as if today with low ball offer and have done cap raising of similar or lower percentage value..
This has greta future to nearly triple the market cap from here. Believe it or not, last time I had similar confidence on fortescue and I was bullish on fmg and this is no different for its upside potential.
