Jack Hamar 2-13 Significant Gas Discovery
Orchard Petroleum Limited (ASX; OPL) (Orchard) and Orchard Petroleum Inc. (OP Inc), a
wholly owned subsidiary of Orchard, are pleased to announce that the Jack Hamar 2-13 well
completed drilling to a depth of 4,439 feet with all targets penetrated.
Jack Hamar 2-13 has encountered 9 separate hydrocarbon bearing reservoir zones distributed
over more than 2,000 feet of drilled section and a significant testing program is being planned
for the 2-13 well along with the Jack Hamar 1-13 well which was recently drilled and
successfully completed.
Steve Graves, Executive Chairman, said: “The initial indications from the Jack Hamar 2-13 well
look better than the Jack Hamar 1-13 well and further indicates the potential for a substantial gas
discovery across a large portion of Orchard’s significant acreage position at Southeast Lost
Hills.”
Steve Graves further said: “The partners at Southeast Lost Hills are very encouraged by the
results thus far and believe that we could be on the verge of something very significant for all
concerned should testing and further drilling prove successful.”
Jack Hamar 2-13 is located in Southeast Lost Hills, California and is on acreage leased from
Aera (Shell and Exxon/Mobil partnership). The 2-13 well is on the same Aera acreage as the
Jack Hamar 1-13 well and the Jack Hamar 1-1 well.
