Agree @dunover, it appears that the ‘doubling’ of the SP has had the momentum perhaps for this CR, perhaps even instrumental in nature.
From the hypothetical of an acquisition, it could serve the purpose for farm-in leveraging ( imo), whereby a partner may perhaps see their sign-on as not such a one chance only perspective and may even buy insurance as part of their commitment with the condition of including themselves with a ‘potential’ acquisition terms.
Just talking out load, no personal knowledge here.
