As Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of the iProperty Group (ASX:IPP), Asia's No. 1 Online Property Group, Georg Chmiel is responsible for the operation of the Group's business across the Asian region. With more than 300 employees operating in core markets in Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore and with investments in India and the Philippines, Georg also charts the strategic direction of the Group.

Prior to joining the iProperty Group as CEO, Georg was a non-executive Director and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee. Georg was also Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of LJ Hooker with 700 offices across 9 countries providing residential and commercial real estate as well as finance services.

Before commencing his 4 year stint with LJ Hooker, Georg held the position of Chief Financial Officer and General Manager International at REA Group Ltd (ASX: REA) for almost six years. Georg was instrumental in building a solid platform for expansion which allowed the group to grow exponentially. With companies such as Deutsche Bank and McKinsey & Company, Georg has built his expertise in the area of company strategy, corporate finance and online companies with a specific focus on growth companies.

Georg holds a MBA from INSEAD France, a Computer Science Degree from Technische Universitaet, Munich and is a CPA (USA). He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).
