NST represent A). grade operators - That said, It is my understanding that Newcrest took over Lihir because it felt it was becoming more of a "copper" company and losing its "gold" premium.
Markets may find this initially a little hard to digest. Gold is unlike any other commodity and its my view that gold miners should stick to their knitting. Perhaps Paulsons is up for sale???
