I am bemused (to say the least) by this.

Obviously, I need to wait and hear BB's reasoning.

Why waste money on VXR, however much it is?

It sounds like BB has too much cash in the coffers, and not enough to spend it on.

My gut feeling is the market will not warm to this, not initially anyway.

What is wrong with being a pure gold company?

VXR require $270 million for mine development, so in the future, how much more will BB give them. The NST profits could be eaten away very quickly.

Initially, I don't like this investment much, especially since gold company share prices have been plummeting, and so there has never been a more opportune time to takeover another gold company.

Not the announcement I was looking for.

I hope we get some detailed clarity, with some figures on the potential profits and returns that might acrue to NST.
