News: iSonea prepares for clinical trials for asthma monitoring device

  1. iSonea (ASX:ISN) has made improvements to the performance, speed and data usage of its technology platform ahead of a clinical trial and relaunch of its AirSonea asthma monitoring device.

In addition, AirSonea, which records breathing sounds and detects wheeze, one of the primary signs of asthma, has been upgraded to operate with the latest generation of smart devices.

The company has also appointed Australia’s Grey Innovations as a new partner. Grey has a strong track record of commercialising breakthrough technologies.

Multiple independent clinical trials overseas have demonstrated that iSonea’s algorithm can track and record sounds and detect wheezing even in young infants during the first months of life.

This trial work will be repeated in Australia with children and adolescents.
