While gas will not be the sole solution, it will significantly aid Zimbabwe in diversifying away from their dependance on aging coal fired plants, unreliable hydro and enhancing its overall power generation capacity. The load shedding is likely costing the economy, and the mining industry in particular, substantial amounts. I have no doubt that the timing to secure the Production Sharing Agreement coincides with what could be described as a perfect storm. Invictus is exceptionally well-positioned to capitalise on these conditions.
