”I don’t hold this stock because I think I might have missed the bus.....”
This is a common investor dilemma. You want the stock but think it’s share price has got away from you, so you wait for entry point further south from current prices.
I invested in JBH sub $10, a lucky punt several years ago. When it reached $25 I thought the same, SP has become stretched. But I looked closer at the business model and financials and could see value at then “high” levels. I bought more on this basis.
I now look at JBH at $52.00 and am making the same conclusions. Albeit driven by Covid demand, the business model including profitable Good Guys acquisition makes (in my view) a compelling investment.
Where the SP is heading here, nobody knows, but their cash flows are enormous with little if any debt, and I expect a bumper dividend to be announced next week, possibly $1.30 per share, giving an annualised yield over 5%
I have topped up my holding today. The above is not investment advice, DYOR, and to capture the opening line, no, I do not think the bus has left the station
