News: Jetset claim rejected by Federal Court

Jetset Travelworld Limited (ASX:JET) has received a decision from the Federal Court of Australia regarding a claim lodged against the Commissioner of taxation.



The claim was lodged yesterday by two entities within the tax consolidated group and related to a GST matter.



Jetset had advised the decision handed down will not result in a material one off benefit to the group and will not have a material impact on its earnings.



The travel agent says it is still considering the decision and retains certain rights of appealing the decision.



Jetset generated a net profit of $8.8 million in the first half of the current financial year.
