It doesn’t keep me up at night but I wonder just how much of Pele’s posturing is driven by personal political ambition and how much support he has within his own party. It could be that he’s trying to move IA’s supporters to his side of the fence with his comment that only Inuit votes/voices should be permitted in a referendum on Independence.
The current government is relatively inexperienced compared to Suimut. Would it be inconceivable that this coalition might dissolve due to irreconcilable differences in policy and a new coalition of IA and Suimut emerge? Probably just wistful thinking on my part…
