So I was perplexed why he didn't just stay at the PM's residence for free with proper security protocols. If he did that, he wouldn't be facing this court action today. The PM's residence is called Phitsanulok Mansion. It turns out that Thais believe the place is haunted so quite a few of the PMs refused to stay there. The difference was they stayed at their own private residence. Here it appears that Prayut was leeching off the army purse because he didn't want to get his own place or stay at a taxpayer funded haunted house. He claims it was under renovations but we all know he was really just afraid of ghosts. What a way to go if it turns out booted for being afraid of ghosts
