The Mt Grace consortium did do met in Perth (by Ammtek I think?) around 1999/2000, then a test parcel was mined in 2000 and a few hundred tonnes sent to Mintek in Sth Africa for a run through arc furnace. Results were okay, but even then there was a silica issue, however most likely would need to repeat the test parcel as furnace tech etc has changed.
