Leighton Holdings Limited (ASX:LEI) has won a $370 million contract to construct an integrated transport facility and new airline terminal at Melbourne Airport.
Leighton says construction will include a seven storey car park, elevated access roads and ramps, an underground service tunnel, electrical substation and ancillary infrastructure.
Leighton Contractors will deliver the airport's new Terminal Four in a joint venture with its subsidiary Broad Construction.
Leighton Holdings chief executive officer Hamish Tyrwhitt says the contract demonstrates the group’s strength in civil infrastructure and commercial building markets and the ability of its companies to collaborate.
Leighton generated a net profit of $360.2 million in the first half of fiscal 2013.
