Lend Lease Group (ASX:LLC) has scored $157 million worth of construction work for the US Army.
The property developer says it will build larger sized homes at the Army’s Island Palm Communities project in Hawaii for military service members and their families.
Island Palm Communities is a partnership between Lend Lease and the Army and the largest residential privatisation project awarded by the US Army.
The partnership will develop, design and construct more than 5,000 new homes and provide property and maintenance management services through to 2054.
In the first six months of the 2011 financial year Lend Lease recorded a net profit of $227 million.
