Lend Lease Group (ASX:LLC) has secured a $315 million contract to design and construct a major upgrade to Sydney’s M5 South West Motorway for Interlink Roads.
The project which is expected to be completed by December 2014, will involve widening the existing motorway from two to three lanes in each direction from Camden Valley Way, Prestons to King Georges Road in Beverly Hills.
Lend Lease’s chief says, the latest contract confirms its strong track record of delivering road projects.
Lend Lease through its Australian construction business Abigroup, was also involved with the Westlink M7 and Hill M2 projects in Sydney.
In the first half of its 2012 financial year Lend Lease Group posted a net profit of $219.4 million.
