American owned News Ltd issued a denial today that they knew months before in was made public that Melbourne Storm were in breach of their salary cap.
The results of an enquiry into the matter commissioned by News Ltd into the scandal has been completed however News Ltd CEO Hartigan has refused to release it publicly.
News Ltd, publishers of newspaper titles such as Herald Sun, Daily Telegraph, Courier Mail and Adelaide Adveriser is holding stead fast to their story that they knew nothing.
If I know this company as I do, you can bet there is more to this than they are letting on. If News has nothing to fear, they should release the report now. After all, if they are innocent of any wrong doing - they should have nothing to fear.
If News Ltd is innocent Hartigan, release the report - or is there something in it that stinks to high heaven?
