“Overview of assessmentFor the purposes of the air quality assessment the Project consists of the construction and operation of a Cracking and Leaching (C&L) plant, and the long-term residue storage facility (Yarri Road). The C&L plant will receive and treat rare earth (RE) concentrate from the Mt Weld mine in Western Australia. The C&L plant will produce a solid RE carbonate that will be packaged and transported to Fremantle for export to the Lynas Advanced Material Plant (LMP) near Kuantan in Malaysia. The LMP requires sufficient feed to produce 10,500 tonnes of Neodymium and Praseodymium (NdPr) per annum, and the proposed C&L plant is anticipated to supply this amount in full.“
