Right now batteries are far more of a problem for EV makers than motors. To not recognize this is just blindness. Many new battery technologies are being tried and that indicates the size of the problem. Some day one may work but right now nothing is coming to the front of race. So for right now could you explain whay you think Elon should jump to REE?

MP broke ground last week on their Metals and Magnet manufacturing plant in Texas. They announced plans for this plant in early Dec 2021. They too are trying for finale approval of USG money but decided not to wait for approval.

Companies can start before approval. The Grants are always cost sharing sometimes up to 100% USG. Lynas is 50/50. If you start before approval and are approved then only cost after approval are included in the split. When companies start early they can be put on back burner no incentive to approve if work is already ongoing.
